‘Nobody wins trophies in November’ — Vincent Kompany keeps Bayern Munich looking ahead

by admin

Bayern Munich saw off reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain with a 2-1 win, despite Luis Díaz seeing red after scoring a brace. Vincent Kompany has assembled an amazing squad, and he praised his team for their efforts but remarked that such performances (and how the team would react to deviation from game plans) were already foreseen.

“We got three points, which is good. But nobody wins trophies in November. We have to stay calm and focus on the next game,” Kompany said (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “We were put in different situations recently and we were there. On Saturday we rotated heavily and the boys were there, today we had to defend with 10 men for 45 minutes and we were there. That gives us a lot of confidence.”

The Bavarians continue romping to victory against anyone yet await another good test against Arsenal later this month. Should Bayern beat them, then that might seal the deal for the Rekordmeister in terms of their progress in all competitions.

Bayern Munich pulled out a wild 2-1 victory in a game that will be talked about quite a bit. So, why don’t we kick it off. This is what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show:
