Paris Saint-Germain attacker Bradley Barcola is one of the game’s bright, young stars, but even he was shocked at how dominant Bayern Munich was in the first half during the 2-1 win for the Bavarians in the Champions League.
”It was surprising. We knew it was going to be difficult, but honestly we weren’t expecting this. We’ll try to take the positives from this game because it was a really tough night. It’s a good wake-up call. We were up against a very good team, we’ll try to bounce back as quickly as possible,” Barcola told RMC Sport (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Barcola, who was closely linked to Bayern Munich last summer, was just one of quite a few PSG stars, who had a tough time matching the incredible energy and intensity of Bayern Munich in the first half. The game did eventually get closer after the red card to Luis Díaz.
Even then, though, Bayern Munich’s heart and fight were just too much for PSG to overcome.
Bayern Munich pulled out a wild 2-1 victory in a game that will be talked about quite a bit. So, why don’t we kick it off. This is what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show:
