Hamann says Bayern Munich’s Kompany could replace Guardiola at Man City

by admin

The speculation has been going on for quite a while now and only a recent contraction dulled the noise that had been getting louder about a future move to Manchester City for Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany.

While Kompany’s new deal will keep him in Bavaria through at least 2029, noted pundit Didi Hamann thinks Kompany’s return to The Etihad is…inevitable.

“They probably have two or three contenders once Pep Guardiola leaves. I’d be very surprised if Vincent Kompany wasn’t one of them. At the moment, it’s probably the most likely scenario that when Pep does leave, Kompany takes over, depending on when that is,” Hamann told ESportsBets.com. “Obviously, it’s always a matter of timing, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it does end up there.”

It does feel like Kompany will eventually find his way back to England, but — for now — the club and the fans alike can appreciate the work that Kompany is doing.

Bayern Munich has kept up its winning ways and things are all good in Bavaria.
