Bayern Munich captain Manuel Neuer might be performing like the best goalkeeper in the world so far this season and has certainly done well to cement himself further as football’s G.O.A.T.
However, even the greats mistakes and Neuer admitted as much after allowing a somewhat harmless attempt from Union Berlin’s Danilho Doekhi to sneak into the net for the game’s first goal.
“My view wasn’t perfect, and the distance wasn’t ideal either. But I made the wrong decision,“ Neuer said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
It was a rare misstep for Neuer this season, where he has been so awesome. Earlier in the week, Neuer was named man of the Match vs. Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Football is a cruel sport, though, and things can change drastically in just a few days time.
