Bayern Munich prez cites ‘team spirit’ and ‘togetherness’ for team success

by admin

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer can see something different in this season’s group.

“We have a great team spirit and togetherness thanks to the coach. Of course we have brilliant individual players, but the togetherness of the team is the merit of the coach. The team is motivated to the core, everyone is fighting for each other – you can see it when Harry Kane is back defending in his own box, that’s how it should be,” Hainer told Sky Germany (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

Hainer is not wrong. Bayern Munich seems to be much more of a team than at any point since 2020. Can it remain that way when things get difficult? That remains to be seen, but with a leader on the staff like Vincent Kompany and a strong core of team-minded individuals, it is not hard to think that it will remain a “team first” mentality.

Bayern Munich is en fuego, but watching Paris Saint-Germain deal with the pains of trying to repeat in the Champions League can show everyone how difficult it is to stay healthy, be consistent, and catch all of the same breaks.

All of that is a big theme for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show! We’ve got a strong lineup of segments and some awesome questions from some dedicated listeners. Catch up on it all right here! This is what we have on tap:
