Germany’s senior team beat Luxembourg 2-0 thanks to two goals from Nick Woltemade, but the U-21 squad ran riot against their Maltese counterparts. The final score in that match was 6-0 where hat-trick hero Tom Bischof and debutant Lennart Karl, both from Bayern Munich, stole the show. The mad hatterick scorer praised his teammate afterwards.
“First of all, congratulations on his debut [with the U21s], he did extremely well, I think every time he was on the ball, the fans were amazed,” Bischof said (via @iMiaSanMia). “He does a lot of tricks, but not unnecessary ones, every time it ends with a cross, a shot or a good pass. I’m very happy with him. He’s not interested in any hype, he just goes out on the pitch and plays his game. He knows what he can do and does it on the pitch. We need guys like that.”
Both players will become world beaters once they join the big boys of the senior team, but it looks like the two of them are already playing well beyond their age.
