Bayern Munich has a gem in their ranks in the form of Lennar Karl. Despite clamor for Julian Nagelsmann to call him up to the first team, the 38-year-old coach thought it best for him to go through the U-21s first. That paid off, as the 17-year-old winger bagged a brace in his first match, something he was thoroughly pleased with.
“Things went perfectly again: U21 debut, two goals, very good performance from the team, good performance from myself”, Karl said (ransport as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “It’s simply fun to play with this squad. I’m in top form right now. Everything’s going well at Bayern, everything’s working out here.”
Karl knows how some fans rate him highly, beyond compare. He prefers proving the hype than just believing in it: “I’m aware of the hype, of course, but I’m not paying attention to what’s being written on Instagram. I’m just playing my football.”
