Bayern Munich’s next DFB-Pokal opponents have been confirmed as Union Berlin.
At the Pokal round of 16 draw, Bayern were dealt with another away trip in the cup, this time to Berlin. Bayern have never met Union in the Pokal before, with their last twelve meetings all coming in the Bundesliga since Union’s promotion in 2019.
Bayern’s last game against Union was in Berlin last season as the sides fought out a 1-1 draw. Their last win against them was last season’s home leg, which ended 3-0. The last away win against Union was two seasons ago, when Bayern put five past the hosts to win 5-1.
Incidentally, Bayern travel to Union in the coming weekend, so it could provide a preview for the cup match. The cup match will be played on either the 2nd or 3rd of December.
