On Tuesday night, Bayern Munich will face the greatest threat to their unprecedented 15-game winning streak on the road against the defending Champions League winners, Paris Saint-Germain. Both teams are sitting atop the table in their domestic leagues and will use this to establish their place in the Champions League race.
The last time Bayern tasted defeat was at the hands of PSG in the 2025 Club World Cup. Consequently, PSG was also the last opponent to hold a clean sheet against Bayern. In the Champions League, Bayern has won the last four encounters by an aggregate score of 5-0. The most memorable match between the two clubs was the 2020 Champions League final in Lisbon, where Kingsley Coman scored a title-winning header against his former club.
PSG has also started the season in impressive fashion. The French club has only lost to Marseille on a night where half the team was collecting awards at the Ballon d’Or ceremonies. With three wins and a +10 goal differential, PSG is tied with Bayern for first place in the Champions League group stage table. Technically, PSG owns the tiebreaker with one more goal scored.
Here is the predicted lineup, courtesy of BFW:

Vincent Kompany had the luxury of resting his main attacking trio for the first 60 minutes against Bayer Leverkusen. Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Luis Díaz will need their collective strength to overwhelm a tough PSG defense. Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlović, and Serge Gnabry will man the midfield.
Kompany’s backline will be the biggest question mark. Konrad Laimer and Dayot Upamecano will be guaranteed starters. Kompany will likely choose Jonathan Tah’s experience over Kim Min-jae’s speed. Josip Stanišić is a bit slower than Sacha Boey. The two outside-backs will probably split time against PSG but Boey is a better fit for this specific matchup.
Kompany will bring in Leon Goretzka around the 65-minute mark. Lennart Karl, Kim Min-jae, and Josip Stanišić should get some later minutes. The usage of Nicolas Jackson, Tom Bischof, and Raphaël Guerreiro will depend on the flow and scoreline of the match.
From an injury standpoint, Bayern will be without the services of Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, and Hiroki Itō.
Third-year Spanish manager Luis Enrique exclusively operates this squad out of a 4-3-3 formation. 23-year old Gonçalo Ramos leads the team with five goals but 16 different players have scored this season. Only five field players have played and failed to score for the Parisian club this season.
