Bayern Munich got an absolute steal when they signed 20-year-old Tom Bischof on a free transfer from fellow Bundesliga club Hoffenheim. Already an established player at his previous club, breaking in and settling at a big club like Bayern is a challenge and for that reason he chose to move to the Bavarians.
“I’m a guy who likes challenges, and I’ve often said that the identity of FC Bayern suits me; I’m a winner,” Bischof told ranSport (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “When you go to the training ground, you just notice that the guys want to win; they fight for every ball. All of that suits me, and I’m keen to establish myself.”
One of the lesser-known facts about Bischof is that he’s a Bavarian, having been born in Aschaffenburg which sits right next to the state border with Hesse. That gives truth to his statement about being suited to the identity of the Rekordmeister.
