Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has seen team depleted by the international call-ups and has opted to give everyone else the week off per Tz (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
Vincent Kompany has given the non-international players the entire week off. Team training will resume next week.
This is not the worst idea in the world. With so many players away playing for their countries, it would not make a ton of sense for Kompany to run session with such a limited group.
Per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia), Jonas Urbig is taking the “no days off” attitude:
Jonas Urbig completed a goalkeeping session today with coaches Michael Rechner and Andreas Rössl, while the rest of the non-international players have the week off.
Without playing regularly, sessions like this are key for Urbig to continue to stay sharp and build his reputation at the club.
Bild (via @iMiaSanMia) also reported that Jamal Musiala continued his rehab and worked out with a ball for the first time:
Jamal Musiala completed an individual training session under rehab coach Simon Martinello, and was even able to work with the ball for the first time. Alphonso Davies watched Musiala on the sideline.
Davies put out some of the work out on his Instagram story:
Bayern Munich sputtered into the international break with a 2-2 draw against Union Berlin.
While it was tough watch at times, there is no reason to panic…right? Right?
Right — and let’s talk about why, plus more on the next edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works Show:
